Add personality to snack mix with
new ingredients and a little heat.
When friends are over watching the game or election
returns, surprise them with a new snack mix. Start with
sesame sticks and rice crackers, then for the nut part of
the equation add corn nuts, pumpkin seeds, and pistachio
nuts. Spread on a baking sheet, spray with nonstick
cooking spray, then toss with a combo of chili powder,
garlic powder, and ground red pepper or other hot spices.
Toast in a low oven (300°F) about 10 minutes just to
mellow the spices.
